Meet the team
Simone's passion for open water swimming started a few years ago after swimming long distances in South Africa. Today, she wants to share that passion with as many people as possible.
Whilst she was studying in Cape Town, she got in touch with the beauty of open water swimming. The nature, people and ever-changing water conditions made her fall in love with open water swimming. She is connected to the open water swimming community and rescue services in Cape Town.
Whenever possible, you'll find Simone practising open water swimming all year round in the Netherlands and South Africa. Besides her swimming adventures, Simone is working as a medical doctor.
Thomas has been swimming since a very young age. He feels absolute freedom when he is part of the ocean.
If he's not swimming and the wind is blowing, you'll find him kitesurfing. He has been running a successful kitesurfing school.
Thomas studied psychology. Even-though he is not active in the field of psychology, this might explain where his patience comes from when he teaches.
With lots of passion, energy and patience he will coach you through your own process in open water swimming.
